Paediatric First Aid Training

This month all staff have completed their 3 yearly renewal for their paediatric first aid training. 

All Management, Team Leaders and Room Champions have completed a 12 hour course whilst all other practitioners completed a 6 hour course. The safety of our children at Rompers is the most important, and by completing this annual training, we hope to be able to care for our children in the event if needed. 

First Stop training provided our training, making this interactive and engaging for all staff through quizzes and games. All staff are skilled in;

• Accidents in the home/nursery

• Contents of a first aid kit

• Recovery position

• CPR

• Shock

• Anaphylaxis

• Fractures

• Head Injuries

• Wounds and bleeding

• Burns and scalds

• Choking
